NCMS Computer Science and Engineering students designed and built their own towers and bridges. Students were required to document each step of the project and followed the engineering design process. Different class periods used different materials ( jumbo popsicle sticks, spaghetti noodles, and balsa wood) to compare the strength to weight ratio. Jumbo popsicle sticks won the best material. One bridge design held 186 times its own weight. Also, two other designs held 96 lbs. and 89 lbs
