We know that good nutrition and learning go hand in hand! The Food Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.
Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
School meal programs nationwide continue to experience many of the same supply chain issues that have impacted restaurants and grocery stores throughout the pandemic. Our school nutrition team is committed to ensuring students continue to have access to healthy meals each school day. Given widespread shortages and delayed deliveries, we will have to make some last-minute changes to our regular menus, based on availability. We do our very best to update our menus with nutritional information for last-minute product substitutions. We hope parents and students will be patient as we sort through these supply chain issues. We may not have the same number of menu choices that we typically offered our students, but we’ll be sure that all students are nourished and ready to learn.
