During the month of September, Neshoba County School District students participated in the Kids for Wish Kids program and raised a total of $3842.75. This program is a component of the Make A Wish Foundation and helps children learn compassion for those in need. The funds donated go to the Make – A – Wish Foundation which grants wishes to children with debilitating illnesses. Each school rewarded the homeroom with the most donations by having a pizza party. Neshoba Central Elementary had $2169.50 in donations, Neshoba Central Middle School had $1288.25 in donations, and Neshoba Central High School had $385.00 in donations. Our students showed a lot of citizenship and caring in participating at such a level to help provide wishes for Wish Kids!
Pictured is Mrs. Pam Smith’s students who raised $261.00 and is the Pizza Party winner at Neshoba Central Elementary. Along with Mrs. Smith’s students are some of the wish kids from our area who were granted their wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This was a great opportunity for the students to actually meet some of the children such donations help provide wishes.
