On August 6, 2012, for professional development, Neshoba County Schools had Attorney Jim Keith address the district staff regarding legal hot topics in education and recent educational legislation. Mr. Keith is a national recognized expert on school law issues and conducts seminars throughout the year in partnership with the Mississippi School Board Association. Heprovides school districts and board attorneys throughout the state with guidance about the “front burner” legal issues school districts are facing. The Neshoba County School district was very fortunate to be able to offer such a wonderful and informative opportunity to its staff members. Topics covered in the session included Teacher Code of Ethics, Charter Schools, Bullying/Cyberbullying, and Confidentiality by Teachers.
On October 15, 2012, Neshoba County Schools will have an all day training on Bullying and Cyberbulling. This was planned in response to areas of need identified through our parent, student, and teacher surveys during the spring semester of last school year.
