If you have an NCES, NCMS and NCHS student as car-riders, you will need to follow the regular route on Rocket Drive as normal. Any high school student that drops off a sibling must go through the regular car-rider line to drop-off. This is the same as in the past.
If you have an NCHS student car-rider only, you may drop off in front of the new high school. Please enter the drive-way on the right, facing the school, so traffic will flow one way.
Security personnel will be between the old high school and new high school to stop traffic for high school students in the crosswalk. Please be prepared to stop.
Buses and student parking are as normal until the new parking lot is completed at the new high school.
Rocket Drive opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 7:55 a.m. each morning and re-opens at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. No one is allowed on Rocket Drive before 1:30.
We are expecting the new high school parking lot to be completed by Labor Day. We will post new traffic procedures at that time.
Please be patient as we work out this process. We will do our best to be as efficient as possible.
